Damn it!
I failed my first attempt at one of my challenges. I only last two weeks of no shopping!!
Doesn't that sound horrible??? I just couldn't resist!!
Thank god I have another 17 months to attempt it again :)
Here's what made me come unstuck:
Sportsgirl Retro Lace Jumper - $79.95
Women's Cassius Clay T-shirt - $15.00
Maxi Dress in Navy - $15.00

Ewwww
Just a quick one today:)
Day 5 of the Shopping ban and I'm still going strong.....just! My sisters Shop til you Drop magazine turned up last night and I had to make sure I didn't take too much notice of the gorgeous clothes, jewels and homewares that were gracing this months issue.
I did fall in love with this Alexander McQueen ring. Love it :)
It's only $350, which surprised me for a McQueen piece. It must be a sign that it's meant to be mine??? Yes???
This is what my night in front of the TV now consists of when I'm trying to avoid any possible shopping temptation. Work and watching Rugby League :(
God I can't wait until August!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On a more disturbing note though - I discovered yesterday that the spot I had planned to have my herb garden is where my cat likes to pee ...........EEEEWWWWWW. I will not be touching the remaining herbs now!!!!
Bloody cat

Reporting in :)
I've been a bit slack and haven't jumped on here in a while....naughty girl!
On the weekend I started my hardest '30 before 30' task. 'Oh wow, you tried to run up Mt Cootha' I hear you say? No......in my mind this task is MUCH harder.......
9. Have a shopping free month
I decided that the 1st of July would be a great time to kick off my one month of no shopping as I have a potential upcoming trip to the US in September that I need to save my $$ for. Unfortunately when I made this decision, I didn't realise the 1st of July was the next day!!!
Once the penny dropped, I started to feel a bit anxious. So this lead to a last minute (well, last hour really as it was 4pm on Saturday) shopping trip.
This is what I was able to buy in 10 minutes:
a neon lime jumper from Dotti.
Not a bad little spree for a grand total of $100!! The only problem is that I forgot that my Mum's birthday is on the 1st of August and I still haven't bought her anything......oooops!! So this is why I have put in a couple of exceptions into the 'No shopping' rules.
The only things I can buy are:
I swear in the past 2 days I have received some fabulous offers to online boutique sales (40% of House of Harlow, 2 Leona Edmiston dresses for $200, Urban Outfitters 75% summer sale). Someone up above is really trying to test me!!!
It's going to be a loooooooooooooooooong month :(
13. Run 10kms non-stop
Went for a run on Monday night and did just under 6kms. Not bad for my first non stop run in over 2 months!!
Went to pump last night, so I'm going to try hit the 6km mark tonight. Surely I will be able to run 10km's before Christmas???
